Craig Levinson, Esq. is an award-winning sales coach, marketer, and rainmaker. He has trained and coached over one-thousand lawyers and other service professionals, who have attributed over $535 million in incremental business to his training programs. He's a left-handed Libra who nearly broke the Myers-Briggs test by scoring 50/50 on three of the four traits - an EINTFJP. Craig was design thinking before "design thinking" was a thing.
While Craig does not believe in silver bullets, he does believe that re-framing how lawyers perceive "sales" and "marketing" enables them to embrace three simple virtual processes which combine to address up to twenty (20) protracted law firm client development issues.
At his first-ever legal marketing position with Sills Cummis, Craig won the Marketing Partners’ Forum/Spherion “Marketing Initiative of the Year” award. As CMO and Director of Business Development for AmLaw 200 firm Brown Raysman, his team earned top 20 recognition in Marketing the Law Firm's first ever rankings of law firm sales and marketing departments. Craig was the co-creator and co-star of RainmakerVT, an online, virtual reality sales training system for lawyers. Previously, he served as Vice President & CMO of JAMS and he has held business development positions at Katten Muchin and Berger Singerman.
Craig currently serves on the Board of Overseers of Developing Minds Foundation, a nonprofit that helps children in areas of conflict in Brazil, Colombia, and the U.S. His focus is a project in Colombia where the foundation educates and rehabilitates former child soldiers who escape from the guerrilla armies. Craig was previously a principal benefactor of the JAMS Foundation, which offers financial assistance for national and international conflict resolution initiatives.
He was a founding member of Professional Marketer's Forum North America (NY) and a former board member of the New York Legal Marketing Association (LMA). He has been on the editorial boards of the Legal Sales and Services Organization (LSSO) and Marketing the Law Firm.
Craig earned his J.D. from Boston University School of Law/School of Graduate Communications dual degree program. He received his B.S. in Telecommunications from the University of Florida (Go Gators!). He probably enjoys talking about law firm business development a little too much, so feel free to book a call with him or e-mail him at [email protected].
